How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your Sanctia account and all associated data directly from the app. Follow these steps:
- Open the Sanctia app on your device
- Go to Settings (tap your profile or the gear icon)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Enter your password to confirm
- Tap Permanently Delete
Your account will be permanently deleted immediately upon confirmation.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, all of the following data is permanently removed:
- Account information: your email address, name, and profile
- Messages: all messages you've written, including text, photos, and voice recordings
- Recipients: all recipient contacts and delivery configurations
- Check-in history: your check-in schedule, history, and notification preferences
- Trusted contacts: any trusted contact relationships
- Session data: all active sessions and login history
- Encryption keys: any stored encryption keys associated with your account
Deleting Individual Data
If you don't want to delete your entire account, you can selectively delete data from within the app:
- Messages: swipe or tap to delete individual messages
- Recipients: remove individual recipients from your list
- Voice recordings & photos: delete media attachments from individual messages
Important Notes
- Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. There is no recovery period.
- If your messages have already been delivered to recipients, those delivered copies are stored in the recipient's vault and are not affected by your account deletion.
- Deleting your account will cancel any pending message deliveries.
